Biography
Ilkay Yildiz has completed her PhD in 1995 from Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She is full professor at the same department since 2004. She worked for Prof. Dr. James Snyder as a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry, University of Emory, Atlanta-USA in 2000-2002. She worked as a Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2011-2012. And she was a Vice Directory of Graduated School of Health Science at the University of Ankara at the same time. She is an Editorial Assistant for Journal of Faculty of Pharmacy of Ankara University since 2002. She published 76 articles. Her research interests: Design using CADD approach and synthesis of Topoisomerase I and II enzymes inhibitors, Glutation-S-Transferase Enzyme inhibitors, Efflux Pump inhibitors, Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors for Alzheimer’s Disease, Anticancer, Antiviral, and Antioxidant compounds.
