Biography
Sivakumar Manickam is a Professor of Chemical and Nanopharmaceutical Process Engineering at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. His research group is focusing on the Process Engineering and Development of Nanomaterials especially Nanopharmaceuticals and Nanoformulations using novel, greener and energy efficient ultrasound and hydrodynamic cavitation techniques. Besides, his group is involved in the wastewater treatment techniques as well as in nanobiosensor development. He is also heading the Manufacturing and Industrial Processes Research Division and is the Director of the Centre for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (CENTAM). He was also the recipient of JSPS fellowship, Japan; the Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK) and member of the Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN), UK. He has published more than 175 peer reviewed journal and conference papers and book chapters. Recently he edited a book on “Cavitation – A novel energy efficient technique for the generation of nanomaterialsâ€. He is chairing the 2nd Asia-Oceania Sonochemical Conference during July 2015.
Research Interest
He is also heading the Manufacturing and Industrial Processes Research Division and is the Director of the Centre for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (CENTAM).
